March Comedy Madness is the ultimate stand up comedy competition, bringing comedians at all levels from the entire region to compete for the title of New York’s Next Big Comedy Star!
About March Comedy Madness
Comics will submit their best 3 minute video clips hoping to get selected as one of the 64 competitors to perform LIVE in New York City at The Grisly Pear Midtown. Beginning March 5, selected performers will compete in Head to Head Rounds of increasing length leading to a FINAL ROUND SHOW April 2 to crown New York City’s Next Big Comedy Star.
Submissions will be open January 1 - 31, 2026 with participants announced March 1, and shows throughout the month. Winners will receive a cash prize, paid spots at The Grisly Pear Comedy Club, and most importantly bragging rights as the winner of New York’s most prestigious comedy competition.

First Place - 2 Primetime Spots per month for 3 months & $500 Grand Prize!
Second Place - 1 Primetime Spot per month for 3 months
Third Place - 2 Primetime Spots

Submissions Guidelines
- Submission is FREE!!
- Submissions open from Jan 1 - 31, 2026.
- Comics will be asked to submit a link to a 3 minute video of themselves performing Stand Up Comedy.
- Videos should be 3 continuous minutes of performance, not a highlight reel.
- Video links should be a standard streaming platform (YouTube, Vimeo etc) and set to Public or Unlisted.
- Private Videos will not be watched.
- Make sure the performance starts at the beginning of the video.
- You can submit a longer video but we will only watch the first 3 minutes.
- Make sure your face is clearly visible and you can be heard.
- Try to minimize background noise and distracting camera movement.
